  • Vondersaar v. Starbucks, Case No. CV12-5027 DDP (AJWx) (C.D. Cal. 2012) - KSW is co-counsel on a class action alleging that Starbucks has discriminated against disabled patrons my maintaining pick-up/hand-off counters that violate the Americans with Disabilities Act.
  • Cadiz v. Al & Ed's, Case No. BC554283 (LA Super. Ct.) - KSW filed claims against a sound system company alleging vilations of California's meal and rest break laws.
  • ENKI Corp. v. Freedman, Zuora Inc., Case No. CV13-02201 PSGx (N.D. Cal. 2013) - KSW is co-counsel in a claim for misappropriation of trade secrets, breach of confidence and relating claims representing the Plaintiff software developer.
  • Cole v. Ross, Case No. BC496543 (LA Super. Ct.) - KSW filed claims against major retailer alleging violations of California's meal and rest break laws.
  • Aparicio v. G&G Security, Case No. BC513313 (LA Super. Ct.) - KSW filed claims against a security company alleging that the employer failed to pay overtime.
  • Rosas v. Choura Events, Case No. BC534034 (LA Super. Ct.) - KSW filed claims against an event company on behalf of employees who were denied wages and meal and rest breaks.
  • Smith v. Crossmark, Case No. 2:13-cv-08624-R-VBK (C.D. Cal. 2013) - KSW is lead counsel in a class action on behalf of employees who were not paid for work performed before the shift started.
  • Gravestock v. Abilene, Case No. 8:14-cv-00170-JVS-RNB (S.D. Cal. 2013) - KSW is lead counsel in a case against a trucking company for failure to pay wages, failure to provide meal and rest breaks and an illegal vacation policy on behalf of a class of truck drivers.
  • Gamez v. Lime 4 You, Case No. 13CECG03186 (Fresno Super. Ct.) - KSW is lead counsel in class action against a limousine company for underpaying it drivers and failing to provide them with meal and rest breaks.
  • Cassinis v. US Coachways, American Arbitration Association - KSW is co-lead counsel on a consumer class against US Coachways for illegally charging a surcharge on credit card customers and planting fake online reviews to get business.
  • Davis v. Abercrombie, Civil No. 11-00144 LEK/BMK (D. Haw. 2011) - KSW has co-counseled with the Native Hawaiian Legal Corporation to sue a private prison, Corrections Corporation of America, and officials affiliated with the state of Hawaii, for failure to provide Native Hawaiian inmates with access to religious services.
  • SCDA v. Dino Zaffina, Case No. 2:12-CV-01899RGK (C.D. Cal. 2012) - KSW represents an organization regarding its claim for trademark infringement against Dino M. Zaffina and the company he started, Southern California Darts Association, Inc. KSW obtained a favorable judgment against Mr. Zaffina. The case is currently on appeal in the 9th Circuit.
  • Chapman v. Skype Inc., Case No. BC462511 (L.A. Sup. Ct. 2011) - KSW filed a class action alleging claims for false advertising and unfair business practices on the grounds that Skype's naming of certain calling plans as "unlimited" is misleading because the plans in fact have strict limits on the number of calls and minutes that can be used each month. KSW obtained a favorable decision from the California Appellate Court. The case is currently pending.
  • Gary Hoffman Productions, Inc. v. Fox Television, Studios, Inc., Case No. SC104254 (L.A. Sup. Ct. 2011) - KSW recently prevailed in an appeal on behalf of the producer of a motion picture, who has sued a major movie studio for failure to pay the producer's share of profits derived from the picture. The case is currently pending again after reversal on appeal.
  • Macias v. Cark Karcher Enterprises, Inc., JCC No. 4537 (Santa Barb. Sup. Ct. (2010) - KSW is co-lead counsel on a class action alleging that Carl's Jr. restaurants have improperly misclassified categories of employees as exempt.
